Edward L. Timberlake, Jr. is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.S.), and Wake Forest University School of Law (J.D.), and during law school was the recipient of a CALI Excellence for the Future Award. Mr. Timberlake was employed for approximately nine years as a Trademark Examining Attorney at the United States Patent and Trademark Office and as a Copyright Examiner in the Literary Examining Division of the United States Copyright Office. Immediately prior to joining Olive & Olive, he served as a Copyright Information Specialist in the Public Information Office of the United States Copyright Office, where he was called upon to answer all manner of copyright questions and became intimately familiar with the online copyright registration system; he also served on a Copyright Office committee dealing with reorganization and e-filing issues. Licensed to practice law in North Carolina, his practice focuses on trademark and copyright counseling, prosecution and enforcement.
