 Vedia Jones-Richardson is a graduate of Howard
University School of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) and of
Georgetown University Law School (J.D.). She is licensed
to practice law in North Carolina, the District of
Columbia, and Illinois. Prior to joining Olive &
Olive, Ms. Jones-Richardson's legal career included
private practice emphasizing among other areas,
trademark, copyright, and computer law. She served for a
number of years as in-house counsel for Johnson Products
Company, Inc. in Chicago. Ms. Jones-Richardson also has
business experience in marketing and computer
consulting. Ms. Jones-Richardson has been an active
member of the bar, currently serving as Chair-Elect of
the American Bar Association's Law Practice Management
Section and Immediate Past President of the Durham and
Orange Association of Women Attorneys. She also is an
active advocate for the arts, having served as an
officer of several arts organizations.
