Brian Crews is a trademark and copyright attorney. He enjoys working closely with his clients from their first meeting to the successful conclusion of their case.
Before coming to Olive & Olive, Brian spent more than 11 years in the Division of Student Affairs at Duke University. There he worked primarily with student media organizations. This gave him valuable experience and insight into IP topics like FCC compliance, performance and broadcast licensing, copyright, and fair use, contract law, risk mitigation, and student conduct. He had a solo practice before joining our firm.
Brian enjoys adventures - big and small - with his wife and two young daughters.
Brian volunteers as a DJ at WXDU, Duke University's radio station.
Brian is a graduate of the University of Georgia (B.Ed. 1998, M.Ed. 2000, M.Ed. 2002), and the North Carolina Central University, School of Law Evening Program (J.D. 2013), cum laude.
Brian is admitted to practice in the State of North Carolina and is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Durham County Bar Association, and the Fourteenth Judicial District Bar. He is admitted to practice before the US District Court in the Middle District of North Carolina.
